What happened...
Patrik, interested in history and politics, mailcontacted members of the Swedish Parlament, inviting them to our room at school. All invited responded and came! Why? In a time when nobody has time for the other. Is it as Hans Karlsson said? Is it that Patrik and his teacher, both with a disability, arouse pity? Or is it, as Karin Pilsäter (fp) mailthanked: "Many believe that it is no idea to try and therefore others will come. What do I get of a session in a school with hundreds of pupils, compaired with my visit to Patrik?" The tradition of following the how-to-do-it-concept denied Patrik, following his concept. The teacher (and the schools principal!) accepted. The teacher should actually correct the mails - but did not. The principal could have after the second visit ... - but did not.
Reading the newspaper Dagens Nyheter, choosing an article and writing it, Patrik now and then expressed the wish to invite. The teacher wrote an explaining mail the same evening. Everything else Patrik did. My task to protect him. Like this he touched the hidden human polyical string. The visitor should lay aside his official part and be human. Some had the first minutes difficulty but calmed down.

Hans Karlsson 19 june 2006 Stockholm Sveavägen 86
Hans Karlsson, impressed by the patrikidea, used during electiontime the patrikidea, inviting a few none-party-people for an informel lunch at the party's headquarters lunchroom at Sveavägen 86, Stockholm.Though the election was 'lost'Hans Karlsson prooved that the patrikidea can be used outside outside our sheltered classroom.
Patrik- and hanskarlsoninspired, as Patriks teacher, I tried the patrikidea in the environment of Edsbacka Bistro, inviting: three local Järfälla-politicans, two students, three parents and a guest of honour (Marianne Klittvall, former politician, schoolprincipal and teacher): to discuss the new situation after jan 1st 2007... ("Education for adults with learning disabilities - Särvux
Särvux, education for adults with learning disabilities, is part of the national adult education system. Särvux is a special form of school, consisting of basic adult education and upper secondary adult education for intellectually disabled adults. These types of schools are intended for intellectually disabled adults or adults with acquired brain injuries. On 1 January 2007, the right to basic adult education for the intellectually disabled will be introduced for people who do not have the skills that education at compulsory special schools is intended to provide and who are capable of benefiting from this education. Särvux has the same curriculum as municipal adult education, but syllabi that are adapted to this type of school.Särvux is intended to supplement students' previous schooling, building on the education, experience and abilities of each student.Courses at Särvux can therefore provide skills in individual subjects and skills equivalent to those acquired at compulsory special schools, upper secondary special schools and vocational training."). Has the Edsback-Soirée effect in Järfälla? (Had it? ...)
under alla år har Sollentuna Blommor i Edsberg tagit på sig tackblomornas leverans till politikerna.

Today, april 2008, we have the answer. Here follows the Swedish version, which will be translated in due time:
Judenrat From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Judenräte (singular Judenrat; German for "Jewish council") were administrative bodies that the Germans required Jews to form in each ghetto in General Government (the German occupied territory of Poland), and later in the occupied territories of the Soviet Union. The Judenrat was an important extension of Hitler’s government and was charged with solving the problems that arose in the occupied community. The Judenrat operated post offices, hospitals, soup kitchens, day care centers, and vocational schools. They also collected taxes and paid salaries for certain types of work. These bodies were responsible for local government in the ghetto, and stood between the Nazis and the ghetto population. They were generally composed of leaders of the Jewish community (with the exception of the Soviet Union, where Jewish organizations were eliminated in 1930s). They were forced by the Nazis to provide Jews for use as slave labor, and to assist in the deportation of Jews to extermination camps during the Holocaust. Those who refused to follow Nazi orders or were unable to cooperate fully were frequently rounded up and shot or deported to the extermination camps themselves. In a number of cases, such as the Minsk ghetto and the Lachwa ghetto, Judenrats cooperated with the resistance movement. In other cases, Judenrats collaborated with the Nazis, on the basis that cooperation might save the lives of the ghetto inhabitants.[1] "The Community Council - the Judenrat, in the language of the Occupying Power – is an abomination in the eyes of the Warsaw Community…" — Chaim A. Kaplan, 23rd April 1941.

“We must build a world free of unnecessary barriers, stereotypes, and discrimination .... policies must be developed, attitudes must be shaped, and buildings and organizations must be designed to ensure that everyone has a chance to get the education they need and live independently as full citizens in their communities.”
